where to find it and how to view your hearing statistics

One of the earliest signs that the end (of the year) is near is when the major music streaming services start releasing their fun and interactive lists of all your listening stats for the year. Spotify has its annual Wrapped (arguably the most popular), Amazon Music has its Delivered, and Apple Music has its 2024 Replay, released today for its subscribers.

I don’t mean to be cheeky – I love these year-end summaries, which provide a personalized and detailed data-driven report on the artists, albums, songs, playlists, genres and stations each user listened to over the course of the year. But that’s not all, as the major streaming provider is also putting together a year-end list of the world’s top-rated music, which includes cool stats like the most played songs, albums and artists of the year, as well as some fun additions like most Shazam songs (Apple owns the music recognition service) and the most read lyrics.

“2024 was a historic year across the board, with more women than ever reaching the global year-end song charts, global genres reaching new heights, and many of the top spots going to artists who had never made the year-end charts before says a press release from Apple Music.
