Golden State Warriors shooting guard Andrew Wiggins had the support of his longtime partner Mychal Johnson on and off the court.

After a successful first year with the Kansas Jayhawks, the Canadian native was selected first overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since then, he has been named Rookie of the Year, named to the NBA All-Star team and won a championship with the Golden State Warriors.

Like Wiggins, Johnson grew up playing basketball — even competing at the college level.

“She went to Notre Dame and played basketball so she gets the sacrifice and everything that I have to go through day in and day out,” Wiggins said E! News in July 2022. “But she was amazing at raising our children to be the perfect children they are today. She deserves a lot of respect because she makes things possible.”

“You can go to work or somewhere and not have the best day and come home and my daughters are just waiting for me,” he added. “They are always happy, always in a good mood. I always feel so much love, so they keep me going.”

Now the couple is expanding their family. Johnson first confirmed her pregnancy in October 2024 with a carousel of baby bump snaps, writing, “Hello baby🥰🫶🏽😘.”

She supports Wiggins’ career

Johnson has been a constant source of support for Wiggins. The West Virginia native can often be seen at the Chase Center in San Francisco, where the Warriors play home games.
