The 30-year-old wife of former Florida congressman and Donald Trump’s original candidate for attorney general, Matt Gaetz, proudly refers to herself as his “wife” in her profile bio.

Her supportive posts about the 42-year-old Gaetz signaled an intention to stand by him as he combats resurfacing sexual allegations from his past.

She also stood by him after he announced he was withdrawing from the process to become Trump’s next attorney general.

“It is clear that my confirmation has unfairly become a distraction from the important work of the Trump/Vance transition,” Gaetz wrote in a post on X in November.

“End of an era,” Ginger quickly posted on Instagram shortly after her husband’s announcement.

She shared a photo of the couple walking hand in hand up the steps of the Capitol, adding: “No one loves America more than this guy.”

Just days earlier, Ginger asked her followers, “Who else is excited for January?” with a throwback photo from 2020 with Gaetz at a White House event.

As the backlash against Gaetz grew, Ginger wrote, “The attorney general will look great on you, my love.”

While the vast majority of her followers posted supportive messages, she ignored one comment. “He’ll be better behind bars,” one person replied.

Before resigning from Congress following Trump’s nomination to head the Justice Department, Ginger wrote that Florida’s 1st Congressional District “is truly blessed to have you representing us.”

“Happy birthday to the sweetest, hardest working, most talented man in the world,” she gushed.

In another snapshot with Gaetz on the Capitol steps, she said, “Happiest by your side.”

Two days after Gaetz was nominated by Trump, Ginger posted the message “Strong men create good times” on her X profile, along with a photo of her husband with right-wing Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk and Argentine President Javier Milei.

The storm that gripped Gaetz wasn’t the first time that Ginger — the sister of Republican donor and entrepreneur Palmer Luckey — stood by him.

The couple first met at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in early 2020, when she was 26.

He reportedly took her to a birthday party for Donald Trump Jr.’s then-girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle the next evening.

After a whirlwind eight-month romance, Gaetz, then 38, popped the question at Mar-a-Lago in December 2020 Daily Mail reported. “​​It wasn’t a surprise, I kind of saw it coming,” Ginger told the newspaper at the time.

At the same time, the Justice Department was investigating Gaetz on allegations of sex trafficking of minors. No criminal charges have been brought against him and he has repeatedly denied the allegations.

The investigation was launched in Trump’s final months in office under Attorney General Bill Barrthe New York Times reported at the time, and it continued to bubble up until the DOJ shut it down last year. The House Ethics Committee also conducted a separate investigation into the allegations, which included allegations that Gaetz had sex with a minor, which he vehemently denies.

Apparently undeterred by the allegations, Ginger accepted Gaetz’s proposal and they married in a small ceremony in Southern California in 2021.

Elon Musk called her “cool” for a video of her singing the song Stars and Stripes across the Capitol Rotunda.

Last summer, she appeared on Steve Bannon’s “War Room” podcast to lambast it Barbie film for a “complete missed opportunity” and said it was “anything BUT female empowerment.”

She is also frequently seen in photos with MAGA stalwart Lauren Boebert, who is known for her controversial views and comments, including enthusiastic remarks about the QAnon conspiracy theory.

As some of the most damning alleged evidence against Gaetz is released, Ginger continues to be his biggest fan.

Among the most recent is a leaked document from the Justice Department’s investigation that alleges a network of payments between the former congressman and friends and associates who allegedly attended drug-fueled sex parties with him.

He vehemently denies the allegations. “This targeted sharing of classified investigative materials is the kind of politicized weaponization of the Justice Department that Matt Gaetz will end,” Trump communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement before Gaetz announced his retirement.

“The Justice Department has investigated Gaetz for years, found no crime, and is now leaking material containing false information to smear the next attorney general.”

On Monday, several media outlets obtained a leaked final draft of the House Ethics Committee’s report on Gaetz, which accuses him of paying thousands of dollars to more than a dozen women – including a 17-year-old girl – for sex.
