The Kansas City Chiefs earned a much-needed bye week after clinching the No. 1 seed for the AFC playoffs.

After the Denver Broncos’ loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, the defending Super Bowl champions now know who they will face in the divisional round next week.

The No. 1 seed Kansas City Chiefs will face the No. 4 seed Houston Texans in the divisional round of the AFC playoffs next week.

These teams met earlier in the season and Kansas City had no problem taking on the surging Texans. Although Houston has proven to be a worthy opponent for elite opponents in the past, the Chiefs’ experience should help Kansas City secure a relatively easy win in front of their home crowd at Arrowhead Stadium.

When does Chiefs vs. Texans kick off?

The NFL has not yet announced when the Chiefs’ match against the Texans will take place.

Two of the league’s four divisional round playoff games will be played on Saturday, January 18th, while the others are scheduled to begin on Sunday, January 19th.
