Will Ohio State’s Will Howard attend the ceremony?

Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard landed on the NCAA’s watch list of top preseason candidates for the Heisman Trophy. Although Howard posted a 72.3% completion rate and scored 27 touchdowns in the regular season, he was not a finalist for the award.

As talk of Howard’s Heisman candidacy died down, Howard remained composed, noting that his main concern was winning football games, according to Sports Illustrated.

It’s unlikely we’ll see Howard at the event on Saturday. Current finalists and past winners, such as Ohio State University legend Archie Griffin, are typically invited to the annual event.

Troy Smith was the youngest Heisman Trophy winner from Ohio State. He won it in 2006.

Who won the 2023 Heisman Trophy?

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels was the Heisman Trophy winner last year. Daniels was the third LSU player to win the Heisman, joining current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (2019) and RB Billy Cannon (1959).
