Who will win “The Voice”? Here is the likely outcome

Although viewers won’t officially find out the winner of “The Voice” Season 26 until Tuesday night, predictions from some entertainment sites point to the same likely outcome.

Who is in the Season 26 finale of “The Voice”?

On Monday, the top five remaining singers from the Season 26 competition performed and competed for the last chance to win the $100,000 prize and a record deal.

As Deseret News previously reported, the “Voice” finalists are:

“The Voice” will announce a winner at the end of the two-hour finale, which airs Tuesday night.

Who will win season 26 of “The Voice”?

Michael Buble has the largest lead of any coach in the final, with two singers from his team making it to the top five. And some entertainment media outlets are calling one of these singers the likely winner of the competition.

Predictions from entertainment website Parade and a TVLine poll both suggest Sofronio Vasquez is the winner of Season 26 – by a wide margin.

And if YouTube views for the final performances are any indicator, Vasquez is the clear frontrunner.

Who is Sofronio Vasquez on “The Voice”?

Vasquez – who is from the Philippines but lives in Utica, New York – was a strong contender from the start of the season.

According to NBC.com, the singer had a career in dentistry but chose music after his father’s death. At the time of his audition, he was working as a dental assistant in Utica, according to WKTV, a Utica-based television station.

Vasquez immediately caught the attention of the “Voice” coaches when he took the stage, and garnered immediate attention from all four coaches with his performance of Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Goin’ Down” during the blind audition round.

Gwen Stefani called it a “Grammy performance,” while Reba McEntire said the Filipino singer had “the total package.”

“I couldn’t push my button fast enough,” McEntire said, noting that she believed Vasquez could help her achieve two straight wins as Voice coach. “Your soulfulness touched my heart.”

Although Snoop Dogg told Vasquez to “get in where you belong” and pursue more soul music with him as his coach, Vasquez ultimately had the greatest connection with Buble. The “Home” singer became emotional as he spoke about his love for the Filipino people and how proud he believed Vasquez would make them.

“I think you will help me win this competition,” he said.

Now Vasquez has reached the finals and is well on his way to making that prediction come true. “The Voice” coaches had nothing but praise for the singer throughout the competition.

During the battle round, when Vasquez was paired with his Team Michael singer Aliyah Khaylyn, Stefani noticed a disadvantage for Khaylyn: “It’s hard to sing with you because you’re amazing,” Stefani told Vasquez.

“You’re a force of nature, dude. “Your voice is so amazing,” Buble added before naming Vasquez the winner of the battle round. “He is humble, kind and one of the most gifted singers I have ever heard.”
