Who won the 2024 Heisman Trophy? Complete voting results, statistics, list of award winners

Two-way star Travis Hunter of Colorado won the 2024 Heisman Trophy on Saturday night. At the awards ceremony, held live in New York City, Hunter became the first two-way star since Charles Woodson in 1997 to win the award .

The race between Hunter and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty went down to the wire, and the voting results were the closest for the Heisman since 2009, according to the ESPN broadcast. Two quarterbacks – Cam Ward of Miami and Dillon Gabriel of Oregon – rounded out the finalists for the Award.

Hunter took first place with 2,231 points and 552 first-place votes and Jeanty came in second place with 2,017 points and 309 first-place votes.

The 21-year-old sensation from Colorado played both wide receiver and defensive back for the Buffaloes. He was the second Colorado player ever to win this award, joining running back Rashaan Salaam (1994). Hunter had 92 catches for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns, as well as four interceptions, 11 pass breakups and a forced fumble.
