Gong Yoo’s salesman ends up killing himself Squid game Season 2, Episode 1 in one of the most intense scenes of the entire series. The image of a man in a suit playing ddjakji with people at subway stations was one of the most memorable aspects of Squid game Season 1, although the salesman only appeared in two episodes and only had a few lines. Gong Yoo’s intense performance as a recruiter set the tone for the first seasonand it remained to be seen how they would use him in Season 2.

To do this, Gi-hun knew he would have to find the seller and use him to track down those behind the games. However, during Gi-hun knew that the salesman would always approach potential victims at subway stationsit took him three years to find the recruiter. Mr. Kim and Woo-seok finally met the salesman, but Gong Yoo’s character could not be captured.

After torturing Mr. Kim and Woo-seok into playing a combination of Jokenpo and Russian Roulette, the salesman went to Gi-hun and confronted him. While Gi-hun wanted to use the salesman to get to the frontman, Gong Yoo’s character wanted to prove that some people are “trash” and need to be dealt with. That’s why, at the beginning of the episode, he offered homeless people a chance to win bread or a lottery ticket. The seller believed that miserable people made their own luckwhich is why he had no remorse for killing people.

Gong Yoos Squid game The character was somewhat intrigued by Gi-hun, who, despite not being great in any game, ended up winning the competition and now wanted to defeat them. Because of this, the seller invited Gi-hun to play a version of Russian Roulette in which the odds would never reset, meaning one of them would be dead after a maximum of six rounds. The salesman was willing to risk his life on a game if it meant dealing with Gi-hun in his own twisted terms.

Squid game The first episode of the second season focused solely on the salesman and even showed him doing “everyday” things like going to the bakery – even though he wanted to use those pieces of bread for a game. It made sense for the show to give Gong Yoo a little more time to shine as a mysterious recruiter before killing him off to set the tone of the season. Learn more about the seller’s backstory in Squid game was great, but what made the character so fascinating in the first place were all the mysteries that surrounded him.

The conversation between Gi-hun and the salesman at the end of Episode 1 was one of the best scenes ever Squid game Season 2, and it’s hard to imagine what they could have done with Gong Yoo’s character after that. Revealing more details about the Salesman would have just made him less interesting, whereas killing him during one of his own games would have made for an incredibly intense scene. As twisted as he was, the salesman was willing to die for what he believed in, which is why he followed the rules of the game instead of just shooting Gi-hun.
