‘Wicked’ is now available to stream – here’s how to watch the blockbuster musical at home

The popular musical adaptation “Wicked” is now available to stream after debuting in theaters last month. Here’s everything you need to know to watch Evil at home, plus all newly released deleted scenes, bonus features and other extras.

The fantasy film musical premiered in theaters on November 22nd and stars Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. It is based on the Tony-winning Broadway musical Evilwhich is itself inspired by Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel, which reimagines the iconic characters from The Wizard of Oz.

Evil tells the origin story of Elphaba, the green outcast who becomes the Wicked Witch, and her friendship with Glinda, who eventually becomes the Good Witch of the South. “Misunderstood because of her green skin, a young woman named Elphaba forms an unlikely but deep friendship with Glinda, a student with an unwavering desire for popularity,” the film’s synopsis reads. “After an encounter with the Wizard of Oz, their relationship soon reaches a crossroads as their lives begin to take completely different paths.”

Ahead of its streaming debut, the film’s success at the box office continued. Evil has surpassed $635 million worldwide, with $424 million coming from domestic sales and $210 million from international markets. That makes Evil the second highest-grossing fantasy film of all time and the third highest-grossing film of 2024 in the US, according to Collider Inside Out 2 And Deadpool and Wolverine.

Although Evil Since the popular film arrived on streaming fairly quickly, it will still be playing in theaters after its digital release on December 31st. Read on to learn how to watch one of the biggest films of 2024 at home.

Here’s how to watch Evil Home

Evil is currently available to stream on digital video-on-demand platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV+ and Fandango At Home. You can buy Evil for $29.99 or rent the film for $19.99. When renting, you have 30 days to start watching the video and 48 hours to finish watching it once you start.

The film will also be released on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD on February 4, 2025.

When will Evil Are you streaming on Peacock?

Evil will eventually be available to stream on Peacock, but a release date has not yet been announced. The film is expected to hit the platform three to four months after its theatrical release, probably in February or March 2025.

In comparison Twister premiered in theaters on July 19, 2024 and was available on Peacock almost four months later on November 15, 2024. The Guy case followed a similar schedule, landing on the streaming platform almost four months after its theatrical debut.

When is Evil: Forever Coming out?

Evil: Foreverthe sequel to Evilis scheduled to hit theaters on November 21, 2025 – almost exactly a year after the release of the first film, as both parts were filmed back-to-back.

The second film follows the events of the first part, in which Elphaba and Glinda uncover the wizard’s deception and Elphaba is declared the new enemy of Oz. The next chapter will examine the events in advance The Wizard of Ozincluding how Elphaba becomes the Wicked Witch of the West and how Glinda transforms into the Good Witch.
