Zachary Levi slams “incredibly poor” management of LA wildfires and suggests “criminal negligence.”

Actor and longtime Los Angeles resident Zachary Levi voiced strong criticism of California’s response to devastating wildfires, calling on state leaders to be held accountable and describing the situation as “very personal” to him.

“This is the most devastating fire in the history of Los Angeles,” a visibly shaken Levi told “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Wednesday evening. “My family is from Ventura, California. I grew up there most of my life and then was in LA for 15 years.”

He also compared the devastating wildfires on the news to “watching a post-apocalyptic war movie.”

Levi explained why he believes California Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and the state’s leadership should be held accountable.

“This is just incredible mismanagement, incredibly bad leadership. I would even say it’s criminally negligent because I mean, Gavin Newsom was either governor for five years or lieutenant governor for eight, nine years before that. “He clearly knows that the biggest problem we have in California is these fires,” Levi said.

“And that in essence they are not just doing nothing, but even worse than nothing when fire department budgets are cut, they are specifically and intentionally not doing the work that could be done to prevent these problems or to be able to effectively help them. “They happen.”

“It almost has a criminal intent. For example, what do they do? “I don’t know,” Levi asked.

“I have no idea why they do or don’t do the things they do. But they must be held accountable. This is not good leadership,” he added.
