Will Giannis play against the Hawks in the NBA Cup?

LAS VEGAS – The Milwaukee Bucks are the only team in the NBA returning to Las Vegas for the semifinals of the Emirates NBA Cup, and they will “host” the Atlanta Hawks on the neutral court at T-Mobile Arena.

The Bucks entered the day as the top seed in the Eastern Conference after going 4-0 in East Group B and defeating Orlando at Fiserv Forum on Dec. 10. The Hawks advanced by winning East Group C 3-1 and defeating New York Dec. 11.

This game counts toward the regular season standings, so the Bucks (13-11) are looking to win their third straight, while the Hawks (14-12) have won seven of their last eight games – including a 15-point win over the Bucks in Milwaukee on December 4th.

Oklahoma City will face Houston in the Western Conference semifinals at 7:30 p.m.

Is Giannis playing?

Yes. The MVP candidate has struggled with tendinopathy (pain) in his right kneecap all season, but hasn’t missed a game with it.

The game begins at 3:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on TNT with Brian Anderson, Stan Van Gundy and Lauren Jbara.
