Landman’s first season finale airs on January 12, and fans are dying to know if it will return for season two – even if they believe the series would be better “without the hypersexualization” of the female characters.

The Paramount Plus drama from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, starring Billy Bob Thornton and Demi Moore, is set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas.

Described as a “modern-day story about the search for fortune in the world of oil rigs,” the series is a top-down story about bullies and wild billionaires fueling a boom so big it’s affecting our climate, our economy and changed our geopolitics.

Episode 10, titled “The Crumbs of Hope,” will be released on the channel’s streamer on Sunday.

But will there be more Landman?

While Paramount Plus has not yet officially confirmed whether Landman will be back on television, recent Golden Globe winner Demi seemed to have accidentally revealed that Landman will be returning.

Speaking at the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival last May, she revealed that production would resume this year.

According to Deadline, she told the audience, “I have already completed the first season and am excited for us to begin the second, which will be released early next year (2025).”

Landman’s co-creator previously shared that he hopes the show continues for “a while longer.”

In an interview with The Direct, he said: “As long as there are stories to tell, I would like to keep telling them.”

“And I think we really just skinned the surface in our first season and that’s saying something because they cover a lot.

“So yeah, I hope we keep telling these stories for a while.”

In December, lead actor Billy Bob, 60, who was nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in the drama, said he couldn’t understand why Landman wasn’t renewed.

“The show did very well, so it stands to reason that they would do another one,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

“But especially when you get nominated for something – it brings attention to your show, so I think that helps.”

“I don’t understand why they wouldn’t do it. I expect we’ll find it pretty soon, because if we wanted to do one we’d have to start not too long after the start of the year.”

That same month, Michelle Randolph added to the publication that she had a lot more to explore with her character Ainsley.

“I would love to be able to continue playing with her,” she said.

“I think to create a character properly you have to create a backstory or have a strong opinion about the relationships they have.”

“I could do a whole show called Ainsley at this point and it would probably be completely different to what audiences think.

“She is something very special to me and there is much more to her than you initially think.”

“Landman” exploded onto Paramount Plus in November, quickly becoming the network’s biggest premiere in two years.
