William and Kate unveil Christmas card with royal children | British News

The Prince and Princess of Wales have unveiled their Christmas card after a difficult year for the royal family.

Prince William has described 2024 as the hardest year of his life after his wife Kate and his father, King Charles, were both treated for cancer.

The image on the front of the card, posted to the couple’s social media channels at 2 p.m., is from the heartfelt video about her health published by the Princess of Wales in September.

It features the couple and their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis Norfolk.

The unveiling of the Christmas card comes after the couple skipped the royal family’s traditional pre-Christmas lunch on Thursday at Buckingham Palace.

They are already in Norfolk as planned and are looking forward to spending time with the others the royal family at Sandringham over Christmas, a royal source said.

The lunch at Buckingham Palace is a private event for senior royals and their extended family who will not be attending the Christmas celebrations at the King’s home in Norfolk.

Prince Andrew A source said he decided not to attend the gathering after speaking to his ex-wife and close friend Sarah, Duchess of York, as speculation continued about his links to a suspected Chinese spy.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a rare picture of their children on Monday in her Christmas card.

It includes a heartwarming photo of Archie and Lilibet running into each other’s arms on a family outing.

The Sussexes will send their close family and friends a different card, which has not been made public.
