Wilmington International Airport picks up flights to Denver

Wilmington International Airport is pushing further west with more nonstop destinations.

United Airlines announced on Thursday additional flights to Chicago next summer with daily flights between Wilmington and Chicago O’Hare International Airport, according to a news release from the airline. The airline will also offer new nonstop service to Denver on Saturdays during the summer season.

Travelers can start booking today.

United served Wilmington and Chicago O’Hare only on weekends last summer. Passenger demand has led the airline to increase service between Wilmington and Chicago O’Hare from twice weekly (Saturday and Sunday) to daily.

It is the first time nonstop service will be offered to Denver, known as the “Outdoor Capital of the USA.”
