A LITTLE SNOW WILL COME LATER, RIGHT? It looks like a wintry mix for some by tomorrow morning. MAINLY WEST AND SOUTHWEST. And then it quickly transitions to some light rain as it sinks further south. And then the rain will become more steady Monday evening into early Tuesday morning. But overall it looks like a restless week. Speaking of being restless outside. Clouds increase from west to east. So we’re looking at a cloudy end to our day in the west. THE SOUTHWEST JUST HAPPENS TO BE A SMALL STORM SYSTEM. IT WILL LOSE SOME STRENGTH AS IT COMES FURTHER AND CLOSER TO OUR AREA AND MOVES FURTHER SOUTH. AS THIS GOES ON, THERE WILL AGAIN BE A CHANCE FOR SOME SOLATED SNOW SHOWERS, PARTICULARLY IN THE WEST AND SOUTHWEST. RIGHT NOW I’m sitting in Boston at 32 degrees with a light south-southeast wind at five miles per hour, so I feel more like 27 degrees. We’ve had a few cold days in a row, but as the days go on the next few days are getting warmer and are actually quite pleasant on Tuesday. So tomorrow morning the temperatures will remain constant at over 20 °C and below 30 °C. THE BEST CHANCES OF SEEING ANY KIND OF ACCUMULATION ARE IN THE WESTERN CORNERS OF THE STATE AND UP TO CONNECTICUT. Maybe an inch of snow. THAT’S ALL we’re looking at. Otherwise, there will be a few isolated snow showers that may create some slippery roads, particularly in areas where there may be some freezing drizzle or freezing rain until tomorrow morning. TEMPERATURES TOMORROW AFTERNOON. UPPER 30S, LOW TO MID 40S. This is the warmest we have experienced since Thursday. So isolated snow showers will move in overnight. The temperatures are cold enough. ANY SNOW THAT FALL HAS A CHANCE OF BEING APPLIED QUICKLY, BUT IT WILL BE IN SPOTTED BOWLS OF SNOW. This favors WORCESTER COUNTY. Points west. There is freezing rain in this pink area. CONNECTICUT, RHODE ISLAND, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE A LIGHT GLAZE EARLY MORNING. So make a treacherous commute early Monday morning. BUT YOU SEE IT’S SHORT. IT REALLY BEGINS TO DEFLATE AT SIX, SEVEN, 8 AM. THEN we start to warm up the temperatures so much. BUT IT WILL NOT BE A WARM DAY. TEMPERATURES ONLY IN THE UPPER 30S. LOWER 40S, THEN MORE CONSTANT RAIN COMING ON MONDAY NIGHT. The wind comes from the south, so temperatures rise throughout the day, even into the evening and night hours. TUESDAY MORNING YOU WILL WAKE UP TO 50°, WITH SOME IMMEDIATE HOSTS OF RAIN, AND THE WIND REALLY STARTS GUSTING FROM THE SOUTH-SWEST. ANYWHERE BETWEEN 20 TO 25 MPH. WHILE THIS FRONT GOES THROUGH. Then we’ll be sunny again on Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday will actually be a pretty pleasant day. Once we get through a few of these showers, it won’t be a washed out day. HOW MUCH RAIN DO WE EXPECT? GENERAL A FEW TENTHS OF RAIN, MAYBE UP TO A HALF AN INCH OF RAIN. BUT WE HAVE SOME SYSTEMS COMING UP SO THE SYSTEM WILL GO THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. WEDNESDAY LOOKS MOSTLY DRY, BUT WE HAVE A STORM SYSTEM DIRECTLY TO OUR SOUTH WEDNESDAY NIGHT. AGAIN THIS WILL GO OUR WAY AND GIVE US A CHANCE FOR A LITTLE RAIN AND THEN A LITTLE SNOW, TOWARD THE HIGHER LEVELS AND ESPECIALLY TOWARDS NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND. So we actually have a chance of rain or snow in the next few days. We’ll feel some rain or snow tomorrow morning, maybe even some freezing rain. FOR THOSE WHO CHANCE TO BE WEST AND SOUTHWEST. AND AS YOU WORK AHEAD TO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO WAKE UP TO RAIN FOR EVERYONE AND THEN GOING ON AROUND WEDNESDAY WE’RE TRACKING THE RAIN ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND. TOWARDS NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND SNOW, AND WE WILL GET REALLY MUCH COLDER AFTER THURSDAY. FRIDAY SEE TEMPERATURES INTO THE 30S. On Saturday we may see the possibility of rain and snow again. Temperatures are also holding steady in the 30s and then Sunday and
