The months-long battle for supremacy between former Judgment Day teammates and tag team champions Damian Priest and Finn Bálor wrote its final chapter as they faced off in a street fight in Monday’s show’s main event.

A ringside brawl culminated in Priest delivering a devastating, impressive Broken Arrow from the stands through two tables, leaving the heel requiring medical attention.

As the medics carried Bálor out of the arena on a stretcher, Priest attacked JD McDonagh and Carlito before turning his attention back to his former partner. He drove Bálor back to the ring and beat him down, but before he could put him away, Carlito and McDonagh came to the heel’s aid.

Bálor recovered and delivered the coup de grace, but Priest struck out at two. The War Raiders made the save, fighting off the heels and ensuring the game became a one-on-one affair again.

The priest, with a chair wrapped around his head, delivered South of Heaven for a two count. Outside, Bálor drove Priest through a table with Coup de Grace, but the Archer of Shame responded with a heel attack through the timekeeper’s position.

A Razor’s Edge through a table on the floor and South of Heaven gave Priest a hard-fought victory.

This was easily the best of the Priest-Bálor series and was perhaps intended to end the long-standing rivalry between the two. There were a handful of great spots here and even though the portage felt tedious, everything afterward was great. The crowd was fired up, the athletes executed the trick and Priest scored the win to put the rivalry on the back burner.

Top moments and takeaways

  • Bálor attacked Priest from behind with a kendo stick and took control early, to the dismay of fans.
  • McAfee compared Dominik Mysterio to a trash can, which was a nice touch considering he always despises the “dirty guy” in the comments.
  • Priest delivered a massive Broken Arrow from the stands to two tables below, like his infamous appearance with Bad Bunny at Backlash 2023.
  • “I am not “My brother’s goalkeeper,” Priest said to Bálor before claiming the win.
