WWE Raw results 1/13 – First Women’s Intercontinental Champion crowned, Street Fight and more

Welcome to Wrestling Inc. results for “WWE Raw” on January 13, 2025, coming to you live from the SAP Center in San Jose, California!

Tonight the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion will be crowned as Lyra Valkyria will face Dakota Kai in the finals of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament. Kai emerged victorious over Shayna Baszler and Katana Chance in a first-round triple threat match, while Valkyria defeated Ivy Nile and Zelina Vega. In the semifinals, Kai defeated Baszler’s Pure Fusion Collective stablemate Zoey Stark and Valkyria emerged victorious over Kai’s Damage CTRL stablemate IYO SKY.

Damian Priest will take on Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, but unlike their previous in-ring encounters, this time it will be in a street fight. The former World Heavyweight Champion and WWE World Tag Team Champion faced off in a handful of singles, tag team and six man tag team matches, including on December 30 when Priest and The War Raiders defeated Balor, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh .

Long-time rivals Ludwig Kaiser and Sheamus will face each other in a duel tonight. The two men have had no shortage of problems with each other in recent months, facing off against each other a few times on June 3, 2024 and August 5, 2024, before both failed to dethrone Bron Breakker as Intercontinental Champion in a three-way split Threat at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.

Chad Gable will play his first match since December 30th when he defeated his former Alpha Academy Otis, while facing an opponent yet to be named. While it hasn’t been officially announced who will challenge Gable, it’s worth noting that former AEW star Penta’s impending arrival was heavily teased in a series of short videos leading up to tonight’s show.

Additionally, after dethroning Liv Morgan to become Women’s World Champion on Raw last week, Rhea Ripley will appear on the show tonight with something on her mind that she wants to share. CM Punk will also perform tonight following his victory over Seth “Freakin” Rollins last week, as will returning World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER.

We are live! The show opens with a video summarizing some of the highlights from last week’s show.

Michael Cole and Pat McAfee then welcome the crowd home as CM Punk makes his way to the ring.
