WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Full and Final Card

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Full and Final Card

For the first time in 16 years, WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is back. The special two-hour event, featuring a five-game schedule, will be simulcast tonight on NBC and Peacock and broadcast from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. As an added bonus, WWE Hall of Famer Jesse “The Body” Ventura will be on call for WWE SNME, which he says will be a “return” to the old days.

Four of the five in-ring contests have championships on the line, while the other pits Sami Zayn against Drew McIntyre in singles. “The Scottish Warrior” made an explosive return to WWE television by attacking Zayn and Jey Uso on the December 2 episode of “WWE Raw.” The following week, Zayn called out McIntyre, who claimed that he and Uso “sold out for absolutely nothing” when they teamed with Roman Reigns at this year’s Men’s WarGames at WWE Survivor Series. The war of words later escalated into physicality when McIntyre attacked Zayn from behind again, leading to a subsequent brawl backstage.

Elsewhere, Cody Rhodes will defend the WWE Undisputed Championship against an increasingly angry Kevin Owens. Rhodes and Owens spent most of the year as allies, especially as the latter repeatedly aided the former in fending off the new and original bloodline. However, at WWE Bad Blood, Rhodes threw his previous grievances with the OG Bloodline overboard when he sided with Roman Reigns in a tag match against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Feeling betrayed by Rhodes’ move, Owens fell into a spiral that eventually led to him attacking both Rhodes and Randy Orton.

Three more titles are at stake

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Guenther will also be in action as he raises his title in a triple threat against The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Finn Balor. For Balor, this is his first televised world title since WWE SummerSlam 2023. For Priest, this is his second attempt to regain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after losing it to GUNTHER at this year’s SummerSlam Premium Live event. WWE SNME will be GUNTHER’s fourth televised title defense, having previously defended it with wins over Sami Zayn, Randy Orton and Priest.

Meanwhile, IYO SKY secures her long-awaited title as she challenges Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship. SKY earned this title opportunity on the November 4th episode of “WWE Raw” by outlasting her competitors in a battle royal. Morgan, who has held the championship for over 200 days now, has been busy with her longtime rival Rhea Ripley for much of the past few weeks, but on WWE SNME her full focus will finally be on “The Genius of the Sky.”

Rounding out the card is a history-making match in which WWE will crown its first-ever Women’s United States Champion. The title was first introduced as a “SmackDown” exclusive last month, with its counterpart, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship, later added to the “WWE Raw” brand. The WWE Women’s United States Championship tournament began on November 15th and is now reduced to two. Chelsea Green and Michin reached the finals by picking up victories over Bayley and Tiffany Stratton, respectively, on WWE SmackDown.
