The Internet never forgets, and X users are piling on the site’s boss, Elon Musk, for heeding his requests for more “positive” content… just days after he made one during a wild argument over H-1B visas had insulted Americans.

In a strange few days for the DOGE co-star, he agreed to a post in which he called Americans too “retarded” to exclusively staff the US tech workforce and called on critics to “take a big step back.” and to fuck himself in the face.” His point, broadly speaking, was that he clearly supports the system that selects the best tech talent for the US (though he has since backtracked somewhat on that front, too).

But fortunately, after a period of reflection and perhaps a word from Trump, he has decided to cool his jets a bit. And as part of his repair phase, Musk asked X users to post more “positive” content. “Please post a little more positive, beautiful or informative content on this platform,” he requested.

However, among the countless dog pictures and what appeared to be bots and engagement farming by large accounts under his post, not everyone was convinced by Musk’s 180-degree attempt.

MAGA hardliners who generally oppose the H-1B are not quick to forget. In response to his call to arms, one user reminded the billionaire that the damage was done. They wrote: “Brother, you spent Christmas calling Americans inhumane retards and declaring that you would expel all MAGA loyalists from the America First movement you bought six months ago because we are racists , because we won’t let you import millions of Indians.”

A second person apparently just wanted to kick the tech mogul while he was on the ground. They shared a screenshot of Musk’s wild “F— YOURSELF in the face” comment, adding: “I when someone says I should post more ‘positive, beautiful or informative content.’

“You first,” joked Musk-critical billionaire and investor Mark Cuban. The two have some beef on the grill. It’s still unclear whether Musk’s efforts to avoid a crisis will work, with figures like right-wing commentator Laura Loomer and former Trump adviser Stephen K. Bannon leading the MAGA charge against the tech bros.
