You’ll soon be able to find Pokémon Go at McDonald’s for PokéStops and 5-Star Raid Fitness Challenges

Niantic and McDonald’s are hosting a Pokémon Go x McDonald’s collaboration event where you can grab a Happy Meal while completing the mobile game’s 5-star raid challenges. Or a Big Mac or whatever you prefer.

In any case, McDonald’s locations in the US will host sponsored PokéStops during certain weeks from December 2024 to March 2025. During these events, you can attract certain Pokémon with Lure Modules and take part in 5-Star Raid Fitness Challenges, but Niantic hasn’t said which Pokémon might be up for grabs.

The Pokémon Go McDonald’s collaboration will take place on these dates:

Niantic’s return of sponsored PokéStops is a big deal, as the company’s website stated that the program was discontinued some time ago and was no longer accepting new applications. Since there are few PokéStops and Gyms to begin with in some locations, especially rural areas but also smaller towns, this small event is a good way to make sure you get at least a few spins along the way.

Participating businesses can also choose to add small mini-games and other special offers as their own enticement modules to encourage customers to stop by. Niantic’s announcement didn’t say whether McDonald’s has its own plans for this, although it may happen as the event progresses.
