What happened

One of the victims said she met Corey on Nov. 22, 2024, and exchanged numbers with him, records show. The next day, she and another woman met Corey for training, followed by an ATV ride and bowling.

At the bowling alley, Corey and his two male friends began acting “suspicious,” looking around repeatedly and appearing nervous, records show. The women learned that he and his friends were having problems with another group in the alley.

Concerned about his behavior, the woman told investigators that if he and his friends continued to act suspiciously, they would have asked him to leave with his friends. Corey reportedly got out with his friends, leaving the women at the bowling alley. After a significant amount of time had passed, the women texted Corey and told him that they had left their belongings in his car.

Records show Corey responded to the women’s text message asking them to meet him at a nearby HEB parking lot to pick up their belongings. Once there, Corey offered to drive them home and the women agreed.

Corey reportedly behaved erratically while driving, deviating from the planned route, claiming someone was following him and making frantic phone calls. The women told investigators that he was driving westbound on I-10 at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. Corey then pulled out a gold-colored handgun, brandished it through the sunroof while driving at high speed, and fired several shots out the car window.

The document detailed that Corey called another woman on a video chat and said, “If I had the perfect opportunity and I was in the middle of nowhere where no one could hear her screaming, should I just do it?” he reportedly responded she with “Yes.”

The women said he also told them, “I’m going to squeeze all of you and then kill you,” the documents said.

As the victims were texting each other during that incident, they told investigators that Corey pointed the gun at both of them and took their phones to cut off their communication.

Documents show Corey stopped on the shoulder of Interstate 10 near Sealy, Texas. He reportedly asked the women to get out of his car, saying, “This is your only chance.” One woman said she unsuccessfully tried to reach for her cell phone, at which point Corey reportedly drove away, leaving her stranded at night .

The women said they spent more than an hour walking along the side of a dark highway before flagging down a driver who called 911 and being helped by Waller County officers.

Investigators used GPS data from a Life 360 app that one of the women had, which confirmed her story. Screenshots also provided timestamps and the route, corroborating victims’ accounts of the kidnapping.

Corey was identified through his driver’s license and social media. When investigators tried to reach him, his phone was “no longer working.” Investigators also contacted his ex-wife, Carmen Pritchett, who is also popular on YouTube and social media with over 5 million followers on Instagram.

Investigators later learned that Corey had posted on TikTok and Instagram that he was leaving the county to start a new life in Dubai.

The FBI confirmed that Corey purchased a one-way ticket and fled to Qatar on December 9, 2024.

Law enforcement is working to bring him back to the U.S. so he can face charges.
