Zach Bryan shares snippets of unreleased songs apparently inspired by his public breakup

Zach Bryan and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia went through a public breakup earlier this year. So far he has remained silent on the matters of their relationship and its end. LaPaglia, however, does not. She spoke in detail about her separation and made serious allegations against the singer/songwriter in her podcast. However, as the year comes to a close, it seems like Bryan is breaking his silence with new songs.

Bryan recently completed his Quittin’ Time Tour. Now it looks like he’s using the time off to process his feelings and write new songs. In recent days, he’s posted snippets of two new songs seemingly inspired by the breakup.

The day after Christmas, he took to social media for the first time to share a snippet of an untitled song with his fans and followers. In it he sings, She has a lover / Under our old blanket / And I don’t have the heart to ask her why. /Does he know that the bed frame is facing the windowsill? / So the sun wakes you up on your left side.

It’s hard not to think that singing is about watching an ex move on.

He returned to social media the next day with another snippet. In this song he sings about keeping his mouth shut and someone being crueler than the devil. I got a bloody tongue / from all the holding on I do. / I met the devil down in Tulsa. / But he is not as cruel as you, he sings in excerpt.

Zach Bryan fans have been waiting for this moment

Zach Bryan’s fans knew this day was coming. LaPaglia’s podcast gives her a platform to speak. However, aside from making social media posts or checking out someone else’s podcast, Bryan has no comparable place to share his side of things. Instead, like other songwriters, he lets his emotions and experiences flow into the songs he writes. Therefore, fans knew they would soon hear songs inspired by his recent heartbreak.

It looks like 2025 will bring more new music from Bryan where he could tell his side of the story.
