Zach Top is helping Nashville’s Big Bash audiences end the year with some good old-fashioned country music

2024 was a great year for country music as a whole. However, few artists have had bigger years than Zach Top. He released his debut full-length album Cold beer and country music and fans across the country took notice. His retro sound, sharp songwriting and timeless voice made him a favorite with listeners around the world and an artist to keep a close eye on in the coming year. Tonight he helped that New Year’s Eve live: Nashville’s big party The audience ended the year in style with good, old-fashioned country music.

As Top took the stage, plenty of cold beer flowed into the audience to introduce the rest of the equation – country music. On stage, he showed everyone that the genre is in good hands with his rousing performance of “Sounds Like the Radio.”

Zach Top proves people’s love for traditional country with “I Never Lie.”

Zach Top had no plans to release “I Never Lie” as a single. Then it went viral on TikTok and he and his time gave fans what they wanted. The title reached number 9 billboard Hot Country Songs chart and No. 24 on the Country Airplay chart. It was his first top 10 hit and his first appearance on the billboard Hot 100. The title landed at number 58 in the genre poll.

“It could be the country song on the album,” Top said billboard Earlier this year. “It stands out and there’s nothing but steel guitar in it – you haven’t heard a song like that in a long time, sonically,” he said of the retro breakup banger.

“I think people have had an appetite for my country for a while, and we’re getting a slice of it,” he said of why he thinks the song is so popular. “With songs like ‘Sounds Like the Radio’ and ‘Cold Beer & Country Music,’ you would expect them to be hits because they’re fast. “This song is at odds with what’s out there right now,” he added.

Top has already shared new music since its release Cold beer and country music. So fans can probably expect more in the coming months.
