Tom Holland managed to surprise Zendaya when he popped the question, a source tells Page Six exclusively.

“Tom and Zendaya had talked about marriage over the years, but Zendaya had no idea he was planning to propose,” the insider says.

“They both value their privacy, so Tom also wanted to keep the proposal secret.”

The Spider-Man star “asked Zendaya’s father for permission to marry her, but also asked her mother,” our source said.

The Emmy winner is very close to her parents, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman and Claire Stoermer.

She has five older half-siblings from her father’s previous marriage: three sisters, Katianna, Annabella and Kaylee, and two brothers, Austin and Julien, who goes by the nickname “EZ”.

“Tom and Zendaya’s families are thrilled,” the insider tells Page Six. “Zendaya’s mom and sisters can’t wait to plan with her.”

We’re told “no wedding date or plans have been set yet,” and the source added: “It’s far too early to think about it. “They’re still celebrating the exciting news.”

Representatives for Zendaya and Holland did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The 28-year-old “Euphoria” star sparked engagement rumors at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday, and Page Six confirmed earlier Monday that the English actress, also 28, had indeed asked for her hand in marriage.

During the awards show, Zendaya stunned on the red carpet in a strapless copper custom Louis Vuitton gown and debuted a 5-carat diamond ring at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

The couple first started dating in 2017, but denied dating speculation until they finally went public with their relationship in 2021.
