In the summer of 2023, she spoke to ELLE about her role in the project and continued to say the same after its completion challenger“I still don’t understand the choices she makes, and we’ve had so many conversations about why she is like that.” It was important to me that she didn’t apologize. Last September, she talked a little about why she dresses to stand out on red carpets. Fashion acts as “armor,” she said, helping her control attention more easily.

“I often feel like I’m not suitable for (the fame) part of (my work),” she said during an event Dune: Part Two speak. “I love my job; I’m so grateful. I love the work, I love being on set, I love moments like this – don’t get me wrong – but I’m often terrified of this part.”

She added: “I’ve always been a shy child, and so that part isn’t natural – that’s a big reason why fashion became important to me, because it became like armor to pretend to go out and do the job.”
